Christmas Dinner and Pandemic
My wife and I reside in a condo, and
next-door neighbors, Jackie and Tom,
are a few years older than us similar in age difference
so that that will make Tom 83 and Jackie 80.
Tom with a history of CABG, stroke, and pacemaker suffers
from chronic CHF, and Jackie with a history of breast cancer,
knee replacement and chronic rheumatoid arthritis receives
monthly IV infusion of treatment.
Our daughter had our Christmas Dinner delivered by a gourmet restaurant
and Uber service, and our three children, son-in-law, daughter-in-law,
5 grandchildren are to be on Zoom in the early evening.
On Christmas Eve our family sang Christmas Carol on Zoom with the help of the lyrics
printed out ahead of time.
Our neighbors' daughter, son-in-law, and one grandson who live in
Lake Tahoe, 500 miles away from us drove all the way with their Christmas Dinner for their parents
in the back of their car. They decided not to enter
their parents' condo, instead set up a dinner table, etc, on the driveway
outside the garage. They all wear masks. Then they all went to the beach.
Jackie and Tom are having their Christmas Dinner all by themselves.
Our daughter ordered enough food for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day Dinners
so my wife and I feel very contented by having enough food around.
The weather is gorgeous, sunny, high 70 degrees.
Yet California like the rest of the country is struggling in the darkness of
ignorance not knowing exactly when this Pandemic will end.
I thought I would describe on paper what this year
Christmas Dinner looks like for a record.

Yes, indeed, Professor.
We all should be thankful that our families are OK.
Let's be patient and maintain a clear head until the darkness clears up
around the world so that you may start flying to see all the old friends
around the world.
Merry Christmas to you and your family!

Twenty-twenty was a good year because Coronavirus defeated Trump
and twenty-twenty-one will be a better year because Trump will not be
around anymore. Be happy, don't worry. Happy holidays, Drs!
I think Dr. HJ Lee has had the warmest Xmas among us. I could feel
the full of loving Xmas spirit in your family and neighbors.

Thank you, Dr. Ohn, for reminding me of the old cliche, i.e.
God works mysteriously, indeed, by bringing down Trump's tyranny
at the expense of so many lives by the virus.
Unfortunately, his wanton behavior still has several weeks to go
with everybody waiting for his next surprise.

Agree, Coronavirus saved the country from further damage by MF Tramp, God forbids!
Can you imagine if he were reelected? I simply shudder!!!
Indeed it was a good 'blessed' Xmas in a certain way.
Happy Holidays to ALL.

Gloomiest Christmas we ever remember, Dr. HJ!
My wife compared the feeling to the Christmas season when we all tried to get out of Seoul
to escape from 중공군- her family was on the boat at Inchon to go to Jeju.
Anyhow you don't have any immediate victim among the family members to grieve over this holiday
you will have to be thankful.
We too are lucky with no such tragedy through the Holidays
and now at my daughter's house across the river to having dinner with them now.
We pray hard for the family reunion next Christmas.
With Warm regard,
BB Lee
