This is no jokes !!
In other words, we were not taught very well.
For those, I say shut up!!
I still wonder why we had to pay tuition for a poor education like that. Ridiculous!!
When I came to America, I realized even more... "What the hell did we learn in SNU??"
Even today, I hate it. I will never forget and forgive them.

I have met quite a few 경북 and 연세 graduates in U.S. and
I realized that our professors were not as strict as theirs.
They were tested much more often than we and their dropout rates
were much higher than ours. SNU had a few graduates who failed
national license examination every year. 연세 and 경북 hardly had
any graduates who failed it.
I did not like the ethics of Confucianism a bit in Korea. It demands respect.
Students must respect teachers. Young people must respect older people.
Isn't that supposed to be earned? It does not matter how terrible they are.
No criticism bore laziness.
I hated Confucianistic fairness. They do not have to show their competence
to get ahead. Seniority is good enough. It is unfair for juniors to advance before
seniors.
Once you become a graduate of SNU, you have made it in Korea. Your
crown is more important than your competence.
I am glad that I did not have to deal with that bullshit in the U.S.
Nonetheless, I love Korea! I am saying to her, "you must get rid of 유교"

And I paid my tuition to support the system. They didn't pay extra.
The professors obviously realized their incompetence and might have felt that
they were not qualified to flunk the student. Students were innocent??
I am sure there are a lot of people who may disagree with me.
But I am sure those guys got the diplomas without ever studying hard.
They are so grateful that they think the professors are wonderful and respectable people.
The Chinese Communist Party got rid of Confucianism rather quickly.
And Koreans are the ones who are still holding the stupid bag even today.
We shall thank Lee Dynasty forever for the stupid tradition they left for us.
I agree with John that it might have been a part of the etiology of poor education
and poor teaching system in SNU-CM.
Old incompetent asses were holding the position and kept the younger competent ones to come in.
Anyway, despite all of those stupid teaching systems, we swam through and got it made
on the other side of the shore. We, Koreans, are great and smart people after all.
I wish we swim through the rough waters between the CCP and the U.S. and survive.

Every medical school in Korea has had incredibly strong "Us" mentality.
It is undoubtedly emanated from Confucianism. All faculty positions
were filled with their own school graduates. The ranks were determined
by the year of graduation. It was a recognized fair deal. The school
that has had the strongest barrier was SNUMC.
So many SNU MC graduates trained in USA and became a faculty member
in US med schools. They were trying to recruit some of talented graduates
from US, but very few accepted their offer because they would not give better
position than the position that one's classmates held at that time.

What is the average medical school class size?
Some schools have about 400 students, while others teach more than 1,000. Medical school applicants who are on the fence about which size is best for them can consider the learning environment that's often associated with a small, midsize or large school.
