Mr. Abe’s trip this month to the site his country attacked 75 years ago will in effect be reciprocating a visit by President Obama to Hiroshima this year.
This is an interesting review of history.
It says the oil embargo led by USA cornered Japan so much that Japan's emperor had no choice
but going along with the public opinion in favor of war, etc.
I often wondered in the past what if Japan had not gone to the war against USA but had managed
to keep parts of her vast empire including Korea.
Although so many Korean youths were wasted in that war, we Koreans thank God they did, I believe.
