Comments on our new official website, snucmaaus.org
and my greater appreciation for snuma.net
Sigetop arrived yesterday in which our new official website was prominently introduced
to our alnumni. I was glad to see our WM was properly recognized for his past contribution
to our association.
Quickly I explored our new website and registered myself as a member.
Everything was neat and cool and well organized, and our website was all linked
to all other related organizations.
Our new website was typical of all the formal organizations including the government websites.
I was looking for a chat room but was unable to find one.
All the stuff were just formal news stories, some poetry, etc. without any comment or
any interchange between members, all of which are typical of most websites with unendinng
stories of personal lonesome ego trips in a way, if anything, aside from all the essential informations provided.
In other words, the set up and atmosphere of this kind of website is primarily for information only
which is of course very important for the membership, not designed for heart to heart conversation
among members.
I realized how important a role snuma.net has served all of us for years giving us extra dimension
of our daily life as an essential company.
I am convinced our alumni need two websites, one for official informations from our association
and other linked websites, the other, this website, where we can meet our soul friends and share
our daily lives and thoughts and all.
The vision and the foresight our WM had and has articulated once, I must say, are bearing fruits
for all of us and once again must be appreciated and recognized as this website no longer
represents our association. I suppose finally we are free from any official cumbersome duties.

Thank you, Dr. Shin.
Yes, you are right. I read the same thing, i.e. the editorial board of the website will be approving
the articles, I believe.
was hoping there is a chat room where the members will be able to chat and
exchange ideas and stories, which would be beneficial to the aging and
aged alumni to keep their brains active.
No problem, though. We certainly can do all that and more in this space,
which is now considered to be a private website
according to the formal statement of snucmaaus.org.

My question is, first of all,
- "Do we need another website in the name of 'official'?"
Why so Divisive?

Dr. Bang,
That is a good question.
Yet that is the way it is.

My answer to Dr. Bang's question may be that we need two websites for the sake of;
One by the member and for the member,
and the other by and for the bureaucratic organization.
My experience is that one can not serve both. That's where we are now.
I agree with Dr. Lee on this issue. I heard that all the articles in the new website would be approved by the editorial board? Are they not similar to the Korean media? Shin
