Indeed it appears to be the appropriate time for those Koreans, who
have all the confidence in God out of their deep faith, say the words,
"Thank God ahead of Time" as Father Solanus would say, believing that
He will protect Korean people and their land as He has done for over millennia.
The first book I almost finished reading since my cataract surgery for both eyes
in the last two months is the book called, "Thank God Ahead Of Time:
The Life and Spirituality of Solanus Casey" by Michael H. Crosby.
Although the book has small prints, thanks to cataract surgery, I am able to read
without eyestrain, which had not been possible for several years before.
I certainly thank God ahead of time for all the books I will be able to read in the future.
From the book I would like to introduce an interesting definition of atheist and agnostic
by Father Solanus.
"An atheist is a person who knows there is a God, but denies it, as he wants to live life
his own way. He continually tells himself there is no God and finally convinces himself
there isn't, and eventually gets to the point in life where he has completely convinced
himself there is no God. This is a form of insanity."
"An agnostic is a person who is looking for God and can't see him nor can he establish
any reasoning to prove there is one. But eventually this person will find proof there is a God.
It may take him some time but he will eventually find the proof there is a God."

A lot of people sitting in the church every Sunday are trying to make sure that they believe in God.
In fact, many people who are saying that I believe in God are not comletely convinced and their mind needs to be
reassured constantly. In other words, they are not much different from agnostics.
I think miracles are only for the people who believe in that it can occur.
Congratulations on your successful eye surgery, Dr. Lee!

Thank you, Dr. Ohn, and your comment and
all your contributions to this page which have helped us all
better informed and enlightened.
The "Prayer for Peace" by Father Solanus during the Cold War
in 1950's remains just as pertinent in Korea and the world.
"Almighty and Eternal Father, God of Wisdom and Mercy
whose power exceeds all force of arms and whose protection
is the strong defense of all who trust in Thee;
enlighten and direct, we beseech Thee, those who bear the heavy
responsibility of government throughout the world these days of
stress and trial.
Grant them the strength to stand firm for what is right and
the skill to dispel the fear of discord.
Inspired them to be mindful of the horrors of nuclear war for
victor and vanquished alike, to seek conciliation in truth and patience.
Grant the strength to see in every man a brother -- that the people
of nations may enjoy the blessings of a just and lasting peace.
Conscious of our own unworthiness,
we implore thy mercy on a sinful world in the name of Thy Divine Son,
the Prince of Peace and through the intercession of his Blessed Mother
and all the saints.
Queen of all saints, pray for us.
Queen of Peace, pray for us."

"Grant them the strength to stand firm for what is right and the skill to dispel
the fear of discord."
- Amen
I want to believe in Miracle.
And we need Miracle in Korea.
