Being left out when Mayor Bill de Blasio announced a plan to change admissions to the city’s elite high schools, where they dominate, was only the last straw, leaders say.

By the way, my 3 kids graduated from Stuyvesant HS
and saved me lots of tuition money for Private HS.
And those days I didn't hear grievances like above.
Thank God for that.

Dummies will be dummies no matter what school they go.
The losers will be the school that did not take better Asian students
because of their race. They will excel as long as they try to be better
all the time no matter what school they go. I do not see this country
discrimminate some one by the school they graduated from.
Just as Harvard has discriminated against Asian students in the admission process,
the NY city mayor and political establishment has decided to do the same
against Asian children in the admission process to the select public high schools.
The only guilt of the Asian students is that they are too smart.
They are being penalized for being smart and working harder.
For many years students had to take the entrance exam to enter these schools,
and "dominating number" of Asian students were entering the schools, and
they become the target for discrimination just as Ivy League school such as Harvard has done.
There is an old saying among the whites or wasps, which is directed to the minority of any ethnicity
and which I personally experienced, i.e. " being good is not good enough."
