These two studies confirm why we have to exercise and
give us a good answer.
As we get older, exercise seems as important as eating.
I used to tell the elderly patients in 80's to have exercise sessions
anywhere from 2 to 4 times a day, 5 to 30 minutes at a time,
depending upon their stamina.
For some of those in 90's I would say to them
they must get up every half an hour to move around during waking hours.
It is ironical in a way for me to eat my own words and
practice what I used to preach as I'm becoming the elderly.
