The writer reminds me of “deep throat” in Watergate scandal. He informed it to Washington post
reporter Bob Woodward. In 2005, he came out and was found to be Mark Felt, FBI agent at that
time.
It is clear to me that he is unfit to carry out the job properly. His behavior as a leader is beyond
the people’s imagination. Though it is immature and appears to be ridiculous, his ideas on foreign
policies are fresh and challenging the establishment.
American foreign policy has been set by Department of State and run by Pentagon and CIA.
President who comes every 4 or 8 years carry out “propaganda” to smooth out public opionion
molding it to satisfy American ideals like human right, democracy etc.
Unfortunately, majority of the policies were made up in 1945 when Cold War started. CIA
was formed during Truman administration around 1948. Though Cold War is over many years ago,
the policy has been little changed. NATO is still there and Russia is enemy of Europe and America.
Every body knows China is the 2nd largest economic power, but America treats her like a communist
country.
When North Korea wants trade and capitalism, the establishment of Washington sees her as the enemy
that can attack American cities with her newly developed nuclear weapon. Yet they believe in that
Britain, France, India, Parkistan, and Israel won’t.
Even though America became energy independent, policies on Mideast has not been changed. Despite of
persistent resistance from native people, American troops in Afghanistan has not been withdrawn and
America like nation building is failing. The policy on Iran is based on keeping Israel as is. Israel is fall
out of Hitler and World War II. We know Iraq is the country made up by World War II allies ignoring
ethnicity, American nation building continues. Americans are reluctant to recognize Syrian civil war
is caused by Al Quida and ISIS who are Sadam Hussein’s soldiers.
I hope State Department, Pentagon and CIA listen to Trump and wake up from old dreams. For sure
Trump is a problem, but the old establishment is long over due to change their policy.
What a courageous man this writer is!
What a great newspaper NYTimes is to publish his Op-ed!
