I just picked up a few news that is relevant to recent surprising Korean
advancement on the world-stage from today's 중앙일보. Korea is the 10th
weapon exporter in the world. Korea has the 7th largest GDP in the world
regardless of the size or population of a country. The stats do not include
the country has less than a 50million people. Most importantly Korea is
rising and the west is falling. Thank you for the most encouraging lecture
I have heard recently, Dr. Lee!

Thank you, Dr. Ohn, for your effort and comment.
It is just amazing to learn and realize what our educated fellow countrymen and women
have done and are doing in this world of cutthroat competition internationally
and domestically in spite of the corruption of the political leadership and its complications.
All we can say is "Long Live, Korea! Long Live Korea's Prosperity and Freedom!
God Bless Korea and Koreans!"

It is not the politicians, but the people. There is no perfect system. Corruption
and unfairness will be in any country in the world and any time in history.
It is a matter of how much rooms left for the people to navigate through
adversities and accomplish their dreams.
And a country has to be poised to be better. It is not so important for a country
to be rich now as much as she is ready to be richer in the future. We saw what
happened in China in the 19th century.

It is exciting to know that the future of South Korea is as bright as
this professor describes and has become the future, the beacon, of the world.
Once again I realize our old generation where I belong is indeed
behind the times, 격세지감, in the lack of proper orientation
in regard to the miraculous advancement of our fatherland and our people back home.
I can't help taking great pride as one of Koreans as this Ivey League
professor profusely appreciates and enthusiastically endorses
what Koreans have done and what Koreans hold for the future of the world.
He said he would send his kid to Seoul for education instead of London, Paris, etc.
