Kids' Psychological Ills
reseachers tracked kids' activity levels and used questionaires to gauge their screen-viewing time (TV and computer) as well as their mental health and social behavior. Those who spent more than two hours a day were more likely to have emotional difficulties, hyperactivity or problems relating to other people, compared with kids who had less screen time. And while children who were more physically active overall reported fewer problems than their sedentary peers, increasing exercise levels did not mitigate the social and behavioral difficulties associated with excessive TV and computer use. The results, say the researchers, reinforce the importance of limiting screen time for children. The American Academy of Pediatrics advises no more than two hours a day as well. from "TIME" Oct 25, 2010 |
with children's obesity problems and children's psychological ills
associated with TV and computer.
The same is true with adults.
In the last survey of American adults,
the incidence of obesity jumped dramatically compared to the previous decade.
This was attributed to TV and computer.
Basically American are trapped between TV and computer.
