I personally think that the obsession of the Democrats to pick a black person
as their vice-presidential candidate may backfire with more problems than advantages.
The voting power of the American black is so weak and Biden should not rely upon them
to carry him into the White House.
The Democrats should forget the obsession of getting a black person. It only creates more division
in political and social arenas. By picking up a black person, Biden will lose more white voters
than the entire number of the blacks. It's not worth it.
Biden should pick just a decent white politician to go against Trump, such as Bloomberg.
If Biden picks Bloomberg as his running mate, the success will be is guaranteed.
There are plenty of white candidates available instead of so few satisfactory black candidates!
I wish Biden does not gamble with a black running mate.
Biden should pick someone who is smarter and less-senile-dementic white candidates.
This is my personal view as a Korean American.
A wrong black candidate will "easily" ruin Biden's chance to defeat Trump.
Remember the vice president is there to replace the president in case of trouble.
Remember how senile Biden is now? What's the chance of his finishing four years?
And, now, imagine a less-known black candidate to become the president?
It will shake a lot of people at the voting booth and give them a second thought.
Will it make democratic white voters think again before the November voting?
나의 개인 의견은 "죽 쒀서 개주지 않기"를 바랍니다.
Just imagine Karen Bass becoming the president. I am not under-estimating her capacity, but...
It's OK for me as a Korean but, for a white, it will be a cold sweat in his back.
Think that a lot of emotion gets into voting, sometimes, more than the logic.

Thank you, WM, for your comment which makes a good point.
We shall see how everything plays out in time.

I am worried that the Democrats and Biden will make a dumb mistake
and, then, go into an unexpected losing war, just like Hilary Clinton
losing the almost-guaranteed winning war in 2016.
I hope they don't carry the blacks on their shoulder.
The history of America says that they are the losers.
At this point, I think the Democrats and Biden are in the exactly same mental status of 2016.
It seems that they are careful but one can not be too careful against clever and desperate Trump.
Trump will fight tooth and nail for his dear freedom and life
as he may be heading to jail if he loses in November.
I am against the idea of Biden taking a black as his partner.
