Sauk Mountain Trail, near Concrete, Washington
August 1, 2010 (#2/2) (Texts are the repeat from #1/2)
Another picture perfect view of the Sauk Lake and Pink Mountain Heather
Clouds climbing over the ridge
Fog adding contemplative mood to the scenery.
Deviding attention to the scenery and the ground to avoid falls
You feel really small walking up these mountains.
Check out the steep incline!
A long strech of switchbacks. Good thing we are on the way down. But for people with not so sturdy knees, going down hill is actually harder on their knees.
Walking through the wildflower field
Thankfully you can't see too far down the slope, due to merciful fog.
Lillies adding bright colors to the picture
Stopping to take in the whole picture. Amazing!

Through the rain forests
A view of the parking lot (at 4347 ft), with the roof of the Swiss chalet style toilet peaking through the pines. It was very cute, despite the stench eminating from it. It was one of the two memorable toilets in the whole park, the other being a hole in the ground with a wooden seat over it behind some trees with no other sheild. It had a great view from the seat.
We are almost there, you can see the parking lot!

Organic Bluberry Farm. Plump blueberries, big as grapes were really delicious.
