Earth,Wind &Fire (EWF) 는  Musical genres 인  R&B, Soul, funk, jazz, disco, pop, rock, Latin 그리고 African을 총망라한 American band로  20 세기의 가장 성공한 bands 입니다.  Rolling Stone Magazine은 "Changed the Sound of black pop"이라고 극찬했읍니다.

이 band는 1969년에 Chicago의 Maurice White가 창단했으며 다른 멤버는 Philip Bailey,Verdine White등입니다. 20번의 Grammy nomination을 받았으며 여섯번은 Group으로 2 번은 이 멤버인 Maurice White 와 Baily가 받았읍니다.그리고 100 million record가 팔려   Record역사상 가장 많이 팔렸답 니다.

수많은 상을 받았으며 이  Band는  Horn section 의   Dynamic sound와   Energetic하고 정교한 Stage show 그리고 Philip Bailey 의 Falsetto 와 Maurice White의 대조적인 Tenor로 잘알려 저 있읍니다. 모든 곡에서 Kalimba를 씀니다.이 악기는 African thumb piano입니다.

대통령 Barack Obama가 취임시 White house의 새 행정부의 첫번째 Social Event에 초대하여 연주하게 했읍니다.

창단한 Maurice White  (Dec,19.1941-Feb.3.2016) 가 2월4일  L.A.자택에서 사망 했읍니다.20년간 Parkinson
으로 투병했으나  His groove,however,lives on.
