여긴 비내리는 우중충한 토요일 아침인데요.
화사한 수련과 꽃속으로 날라드는 벌과 꽃에 앉아 있는 실잠자리까지
잘 보고갑니다.

아직 끝이 나지 않은 이야기들이라 조금 더 모아 보고요.

A spectacular summer display of hybrids of Victoria Amazonica and Victoria Cruziana,
giant water lilies with pads up to seven feet across and armored with long spines.
The genus Amazonica was discovered in 1801, and named for Queen Victoria.
The giant water lilies are found in Equatorial Brazil along the backwaters of the Amazon River.
Their huge flowers open at night, and are said to have an aroma like pineapple

Victoria waterlilies produce dinner plate-size blooms that open at night.
On the first night flowers are white,
the second they turn to various shades of pink or purple.
The third day they are pulled below the surface
to await the maturation of the seeds.

이 꽃을 칼리포니아서 본적이 없는데!
여기아래 video image 와 설명을 들으니, 작은 연못에는 너무 커서 부적당할까 봄니다.

가든이 9시에 여니.. 9시에는 들어가서 보도록 일찍 집에서 떠나야겠지요.
