Michelle Wie announced on Instagram Sunday night that she said yes to Jonnie West, son of NBA legend Jerry West, when he went down on one knee and popped the question in San Francisco, Calif.
The caption was simple, “My person for life,” followed by exclamation points, heart emojis and the hashtag “WieGoesWest.”
The five-time LPGA Tour champion and 2014 U.S. Women’s Open champion is amid a comeback season; having ended the 2018 season early due to a nagging right-hand injury that required surgery.
Wie returned to competition in February, placing T-23 at the Honda LPGA Thailand, but later that month she had to withdraw midway through the first round of the HSBC Women’s World Championship due to the recurring hand issue.
