Inbee Park Flirting With History Scott Heppell/Associated Press Saturday was a very big day for Park. Not only did she move into the lead at the British Open, but it also happened to be her 26th birthday. Tomorrow will provide the real celebration if she's able to win in England. It would also be a historic win, according to Justin Ray of the Golf Channel, as her fourth Grand Slam win since 2013.Inbee Park: 54-hole leader @RICOH Womens British Open, trying to become 5th woman to win 4+ majors in 2-season span (Tseng, Webb, Bradley, Wright) What makes Park's run this weekend so fascinating is the way she's struggled in previous majors this year. The South Korean star finished 38th at the Nabisco Championship and tied for 43rd at the U.S. Open. She discussed those shortcomings in her post-round interview, via LPGA's YouTube channel: Park's 68 was tied with Suzann Pettersen for the second-best round of the day, trailing only Hull's 66. |

Mo martin's beautiful 2nd shot at 18th hole(par 5) was making almost double eagle.
She deserved to win, because rest of contenders could not excute when they needed.
All majors so far this year have been won by American players.

The rsults after the third round:
Unfortunate mistake by Sun Ju Ahn - a New Star ?
It had appeared that Sun Ju Ahn, who competes on the LPGA of Japan Tour,
would be the third-round leader when she finished with a par on the 18th hole
and sat at 5-under-par overall.
But prior to signing her scorecard, Ahn was assessed a two-shot penalty
for building a stance in the bunker in front of the 18th green (see statement below).
The penalty dropped her from the lead into a tie for second at 3-under-par
with Suzann Pettersen and Shanshan Feng.
In the bunker she moved the sand with her feet and breached this rule.

“It’s disappointing but it’s my mistake and something that I have to follow the rules of the game,”
Ahn said afterward. “I still have a day to go and I have to stay focused and try my best tomorrow.”
