About 4-5 years ago, when I met Inbee Park in person at the Westridge Golf Course
in Fullerton, CA she was a petite, pretty, and little girl.
Then, she wasn't quite as outstanding in LPGA as she is today.
But lately, she's been getting heavier. (I am talking about the body mass - Don't tell her.)
Is the overweight helping her in LPGA rankings??
Sometimes, I suspect that being overweight is a good and desirable thing in golf.
At least, in some players, it seems to be "really and undeniably" true.
Even in the local country club matches, I see a lot of heavy people in lower handicaps and winning.
I see a guy with a huge pot belly and I talk to myself, "How can he play golf in a shape like that?"
But, to my surprise, the guy wins the tournament !!
David Duval was an outstanding and promising star player at PGA at once in the past.
After having lost some 20 pounds of weight, he went down to the bottom ranking in PGA
and got stuck there for a long time and never saw the sunshine again.
Was the loss of weight detrimental to his game?
I lost 10 pounds this summer intentionally, and I lost about 20 yards in tee shot distance.
황대감, are you listening?

Ha, ha! No wonder I could not play the golf well! At least I do have an excuse now!
Seriously
In case of David duval is concerned, there are such a thing as a jinx of melting down after winning the Major
for certain players like Ian Finch Baker, Tom Kite(for a while), Birdie Kim etc.
David's losing weight could be because of the stress he had experiencd not winning the game anymore?? KJ
