(경향신문: 박태균의 버취보고서)
Leonard Berch

I knew U.S. military government supported 여운형 and 김규식, but I did not know it was the idea of Bertch.
Basically, South Korea was governed by Captain James Hausman and first lieutenant Leonard Bertch at that time.
이승만 was implanted by D. McArthur.
In reality, S. Korea was the colony of Japan that lost the war.
The victorious U.S. was inconsiderate of Korean’s opinion. Koreans thought
they were the one to be credited for the victory over Japan.

The fate of the country depended on these inexperienced foreigners...
The people are generally stupid and incapable. They must be lead by an experienced governing body.
When the governing body (the leader) is stupid, the above phrase is what they get.
Thinking about the miserable end of the Lee Dynasty, what would happen to the current "Moon" Dynasty
and the stupid people who elected him for their leader?
I wish not to see the repetition of the same history.
"Korea is still unknown to many of the international community."
Yes, she is not well known or respected.
But the international communities all know about Samsung, LG, and Hyundai very well.
How about that for a change?

Talking about stupidity, I like to quote Albert Einstein's remarks in the below.
"Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former."

My uneducated thought:
Whenever there is the beginning, there ought to be the ending.
Big Bang will necessitate Big Crash or mercifully Big Fading-out.
Don't you realize that all of us will die?
Because we were born.
This is the eternal truth, the principle of cause and effect.
What else can I say?

Once someone told me that Buddha said “cause of death is birth”.
Please don’t be mistaken as maternal death!

John Hodge, a professional soldier, never had any knowledge about Korea,
nor interest to be the Military Governor, per his own later statements.
He hated the job.
They learned about Korea by reading Encyclopedia Britannica in the airplane to Korea.
Per Bruce Cummings, Berch, a very young Havard trained lawyer in his 30's back then,
confessed before his death, to be the highest ranking first lieutenant in the world.
The sad reality in Korean History we should remember.
The fate of the country depended on these inexperienced foreigners with practically no knowledge
about the country, they would govern.
Korea is still unknown to many of the international community.
