In my premed school days, I had a chance to read the Homer’s Iliad by Penguin Edition. It was one of the greatest ancient war stories. However the most impressive passage was the narration by Glaucus, one of Troy fighters, to his opponent, Greek Diomedes. I hope you enjoy the passage. BOOK VI Page 97. THE EPISODES OF GLAUCUS AND DIOMEDES Then Glaucus and Diomedes entered the space between the two armies. Both men were eager to fight; 1. Glaucus and Diomedes 2. Perhaps this discussion might give you an idea.
I agree with you in that the phenomenon has to do with the lake wave ripples
that reflect the light in a manner of thousands of prisms working together favoring the longest wave,
i.e. the red.

Dear Dr. 이:
Thanks a lot for your interest, comments and even two URL's to explain various reflections on the surface from the sunlight around sunset. I will try to understand the various opinions on this observation with repeat reading and thinking.
In the meantime I will post two photos of moonset taken on Nov 15 at 5:00 am, the next dawn following the supermoon, which showed a straight reflection from the moon.

After my reading of URL https://www.boundless.com/physics/textbooks/boundless-physics-textbook/geometric-optics-24/reflection-refraction-and-dispersion-169/dispersion-rainbows-and-prisims-611-6326/, I will try to explain why only red color was seen when the sunlight hit the glass and bounced back as reflection: Since the red color has the longest wavelength and so the least refraction compared to the other 5 colors, and it was easy for the red color to travel along the most straight line than other colors, and so can reach the glass more than the other colors. Therefore I was able to see the red dots there. Does it make sense? I hope so.
I might be obsessed with this red reflection on the windows.
I still don't know the cause of this redness on the moving or changing dots.
I want good opinions from members on this phenomenon.
