Good to know more about the dementia issue, Dr. Lee!
Could you explain the difference between senile psychosis and senile dementia?
I do have one very close friend seems to have some personality change lately to make me worry.
Indeed, I also visibly notice that I lose the memory capacity in these days
especially the name of the person's and places, though most of them come back later!
So embarrassing to encounter such situations on public!
Opinion?

Senile psychosis and dementia may belong to the same pathological entity
except that the manifestation differs.
I know a person like that too who is severely psychotic rather than being in dementia.
I would like to put everything into Senile Dementia and then separate each case
by the subgroup of different symptoms.
Well, let the psychiatrists decide!
But what do they know??? Does anyone trust them?
This article explains and clarifies clearly and plainly the confusion
surrounding the use of these two words, dementia and Alzheimer's.
I might add that realistically the only form of dementia that can be
prevented or treated effectively would be vascular dementia
by the preventive Cardiology practice such as aggressive LDL control
and timely treatment of atrial fibrillation to prevent strokes.
