Last week, I watched an interesting movie here in Korea.

A great old style movie,in the cowboy western format, looking into the dark side of  American History.   I’d recommend it highly.

While I watching this movie, I couldn’t help thinking of the tragic history of North & South Korea, the Korean war, the hatred, between the communists  and  the  non-communists,liberals , conservatives, and then recent

Ironically, the movie “Hostiles” opens with the famous DH Lawrence quote

“The essential  American soul is hard, isolate, stoic, and a killer. It has never

yet melted.”
