I think John Bolton is a war maniac. He does not want to sit down with North
Koreans. He does not want US-NK meeting to succeed, so he can bomb NK.
I wish Trump fire him or exclude him from going to Singapore. He is a dangerous
man.
I think it is a mistake for SK government to let 태영호 talk about his book that is
insulting 김정은. He may be expelled secretly from SK to another country where could
well be killed.
I think Trump and Moon will band over as far as they can to make it happen.

If 태영호 did not show off his book, US-SK military exercise might have not
been a matter. Escapees from NK should keep their mouth shot until everything
settle down or things ended up to be a total failure.

Is South Korea already under the Kim's rule?
Why in the world in free society one can not speak out one's mind?
I suspect SK under Moon's regime has already turned into authoritarian society in keeping line
with NK.

Respectfully I disagree with Lee KI 선배님,somewhat--(sorry--)-.
If Moon’s regime has already turned into authoritarian society in keeping line with NK,as you
suggested, Mr.Tae should not be able to speak up like this in this extremely sentive period
at the National Assembly Press room, and those civilians should not be able to send anti NK
propaganda leaflets into the air.
There might be many things going on behind the scene during this type of politics, which we may not be aware of.
However, providing there are no such major events went on behind the scene, & unreported,
the recent happenings in SK such as 태영호-centered events(publication, press conference), new launching of anti-NK propaganda leaflets(삐라) into NK territory and the upgraded military exercize could be "Strategic Mistake” at this sensitive time,if you are aiming "denulearitization through negotiation" and even for longer term goal of eventual collapse of NK regime.
Of course, nobody could be sure.
The Defector like Mr Tae's caliber should be under strict surveillance by KCIA or like organization ,
not only for political purpose( future bargaining)/national interest,etc but also for his safety, at least for now. (Mr.Tae is not an average citizen).
Eventually, the involed politicians would speak with results and history will
evealuate them many many years later.

1. I called my longtime friend in Korea the other day, he said "We're living in A Dark Age".
You interpret what "Dark Age" he meant, will you?.
2. I called other friend of mine from our childhood and asked him to find Korean Poems
- 'Yearning for Freedom' because I don't have Korean program to search and he used to be
A Poet when he was a HS Boy. He couldn't fine one and he asked other two poets in Korea
he knows. And they could'nt come up with Any Korean Poems 'Yearning for Freedom'.
I guesss Koreans don't know what "Freedom" really means, or they take Freedom as Given
from birth. Is it?

I think we are "excited more than we should have" on this political maneuvers
without knowing the true intentions of the darn political professionals.
Maybe, we should cut down some of our "hopeless and undeserving" expectations
and pull the hot air out of the balloon that we blew up so big.
Eventually, all this hoorahs and noises may turn into nothing as it has happened in the past.

What do I know about politics?
I am just worried about the SK politics turned to too much left direction.
I live here in the US, but I am concerned about our future status in the US of Korean Americans.

Anyway, expressing and exchanging our hopes and speculations on the unknown future,
instead of keeping it inside, is not a bad thing at all.
This website and the spaces are just for such occasions.

Some says that one should not talk about religion and politics with strangers.
But it is common to see that the most heated topics are Korean politics when
Korean Americans get together for dinner in neighborhood’s house. Women
and men sat separately. Men are always into political topics. They try to fix
the whole world. Korea is just a part of it. I think that our website is just like that.
I would like to make sure just one thing; be aware, there is difference of opinion!
Moon made a stupid and irresponsible mistake at the critical time
by allowing 태영호 to insult Kim again in public.
I am sure that 태영호 told the truth but it wasn't a good time to expose it. A very bad timing !!
To make the things worse,
I think John Bolton made a huge mistake as an "arrogant and ignorant" American.
He had no idea what and who the KIM of north Korea is.
He looked down Kim as a tiny dictator whom U.S. can easily erase out of this world.
He should have treated Kim with utmost respect but he ended up insulting him.
I think, in doing so, he insulted entire Koreans including the South Korea.
He might have over-stepped Trump's plan to baby Kim under the wing of U.S.
If Trump is (will be) able to comfort him enough to get him under U.S. care,
it will be wonderful for all Koreas, while China will lose North Korea.
China will become a disappointed dog like a "닭 쫗던 개, 울타리 올려다 보는".
그들의 ambitious 동북공정의 야심이 한꺼번에 무너지는 것이다.
Obviously, 시진핑 advised Kim "against" meeting Trump on Kim's second Beijing visit.
I will never know for sure. Just my speculation... What the hell do I know anyway?
There aren't very much we can do but the things are getting interesting.
We may be at a critical juncture in our history as to "One Korea or Two Koreas.".
As Trump always says, "We'll See."
