* She wrote " little House on the Prairie". These people are the ancestors of
White Americans. Sometimes I wonder if I can criticize what they did
to native people. They killed them and I did not. So they are bad and I am innocent?

(little house on the prairie, movie)
Pilgrims came here for religious freedom. They had to get away from oppression
and poverty. America was there for them.
I learned American ideals in school and home. My father loved American way of thinking.
It made me yearn for the new world. At the same time I began to dislike Korean ethics
and military dictatorship that restricted freedom. New world was waving her hand to come
and live freely. She needed doctors who could practice and make a descent living.
Native people were bumps on their way. They had to deal with it for the survival. We need
to find the way to live together with descendants of the people who settled before us.
But people who lived in centuries apart will behave differently. It was Indians who were
native people. Now the whites(descendants) are the establishment.
Abraham Lincoln is a hero because he held the country together on the brink of the divide.
It was the foundation that made America to be the strongest and most prosperous country
in the world. America may desperately need another Abraham Lincoln now.

Precisely, Dr. Ohn, you are absolutely right, absolutely!
Though this country has too many human garbage like White Trash, but they ain't go nowhere but will belong to the majority we will have to honor(?) as late comers especially as a minority. So we have no other choice but will have to embrace them instead of reject them only to let them antagonize to the minority. Yes, as you said we need another Abraham Lincoln with no doubts. God bless America!

P.S. I regret to use such bad term 'human garbage' AGAIN because of this mother fucker Tramp, which I swore I will never ever put on my tongue after such shocking incidence I experienced more than 40 years ago. I stll feel like shudder whenever I recall that incidence. So painful, so dreadful!!! I shouldn't use it as I swore!

I didn't read it, Dr. Ohn, by myself but I know the story too well as a part of my memory on my early life in the States because my two daughters - we brought them in the age of three and five before the school age- kept the books in their books shelf as their favorite books for so many years! So it also gave me a chance to glimpse on the early settlers' lives through such harsh nature - I still remember the 'long winter' section on the TV drama! - but I never felt hostile but admired their endurance. So you can't blame but feel sympathy sharing their innocence, no more no less! After all they all came to this new world to survive if not for better life they dreamed like us in a way! Didn't they?!
BB Lee
P.S. I don't hate White people but I hate 'White trash' who are hostile to non-white peoples. I understand their fear and frustration but I don't tolerate their irrational behaviors. No matter whether they killed all the natives or kicked them out, it is now bygone! Bygone is bygone and now we are all on same boat sharing the fates whether they would like or not. I always give them more credits as early comers ahead of us than they deserved but I don't let them to step on my toes. I only hate White trash like I hate all along on other human garbages.
