After reading these two articles, everything is loud and clear in regard to

how the Korean War, 625, came about.

Hopefully and prayerfully the political leadership of Korea for the generations to come

always stay steps ahead to prevent the repetition of  the horrors and killings of the shameful War.

Americans did more than what they should do for South Koreans.

The sacrifices of American lives were not wasted. Without them 

the prosperity that South Koreans enjoy is not possible. However

South Koreans should not lose the sight on national interest as much 

as Americans put theirs first. No foreign troops defend your own country

as you want! The true national stability and security comes from its own 

economy and military power. The alliance with other nations for your

nationsl interest depends on your own national strength. 

스탈린의 윤허와 모택통의 의리있는 약속을 받고 김일성은 1950년 6.25일 남침을 감행했다. 

8월말까지 통일을 완수하겠다고  장담했던그는 부산페리페리(낙동강전선)에서 미군과 

유엔 연합군의 강력한 저항을 맞이한다. 기대했던 빨찌산의 봉기는 일어나지 않았다. 남한 

을 구하려하지 않을 것이라고 했던 미군은 유엔을 동원하여 반격해 왔다. 미군은 교량, 철도, 

중요군수 공장등을 집중적으로 폭격했다. 이로인해서 낙동강전선에 보급이 거의 절망상태에 

이르렀다. 특히 유엔군과 국군의 반격으로 발생한 많은 사상자가 보충되지 않았다. 이런 상황

에서 인천상륙작전이 감행되자. 북한군은 퇴로마저 차단되었다. 9월28일에 서울이 수복되고 

10월1일에 국군과 유엔군은 38선을 넘어 북진했다. 11월에는 청천강과 장진호 까지 점령하여 

남북통일이 목전에 있었다. 그러나 중공군의 개입은 민족의 꿈을 물거품으로 만들었다. 대륙세력과 

태평양 세력은 승자를 가릴수  없는 전쟁을 또한번 한반도에서 치루었다.
