My feeling on this is that the virus exposed to the outside dry air on the surface of the package
will die in a few hours unless the air is very humid and the package is wet.
The contamination at the packaging center (distribution center) won't be a major problem.
The problem is from the person who put the package at your door or in the mailbox.
At this last leg, the time and distance span is too short to be safe.
Anyway, Amazon's advice is a very good one that we should keep in mind.
I just got a delivery from a drug store in a small plastic bag.
We opened it and throw away the container and placed the drug bottle in the cabinet.
We both sanitized our hands and will not be touching the bottle for a day.
This could be another way of protecting ourselves.
It is interesting to note what Amazon said.
I like the idea keeping the packages in the garage a few days if possible.
