Malaria drug Trump touted as coronavirus treatment has been given FDA 'emergency' authorization

This is a good news, indeed.
They treated 80 covid-19 patients with hydroxychloroquine and azithromycin,
and 79 of them responded, etc.
That is certainly good enough to recommend.
More trial results by others are forthcoming, I believe.
It looks like a good idea for seniors and others to have
these drugs handy at home if possible in case they contract this virus.
From the information I recently heard those Covid-19 patients in the hospitals here
are already being treated with this combination in most cases.
It seems only logical that the drugs may have better chance to work if started early
or prophylactically as an outpatient once the diagnosis is made outside.
