Since all of us have lost chances to talk to strangers casually thanks to
the Pandemic, we realized the benefits of casual talks to strangers more so
as this article points out. Psychologists in the past, this writer says,
confirmed the benefits as explained.
Somewhere I once read that people who are good at small talks turned out
to be more successful and accomplished in their careers and lifetime endeavors
than those who are reserved and reticent.
Nowadays I walk 2-3 miles almost every day and got to know a number of neighbors
and their dogs and names. Talking to them casually and sometimes touching their dogs,
and praising good golf shots by total strangers on the golf course helps my mood brightened up,
and I surely can feel it as this writer described.
I felt all of us seniors need to be reminded of this benefit.
Also talking and chatting in this space, as this writer states, offer the same benefits.
