I am a dinosaur as much as you are as far as the songs that BTS sing do to me
and I do not feel empathy with the song as much as I do with oldies.
I am just awed by the status of Korean singers in the world stage.

You'd be better to believe it, doc! Perhaps, they are the most famous Koreans to raise the image of South Korea throughout theworld. Indeed, I heard the regular schedule of the general U.N. Congress was held to accommodate their play! Glad you shared/introduced it with Old Folks to help '무식 면해'!

P.S. As a matter fact, my nephew, 조태열 was the Korean ambassador to the U.N. till last December - he is the youngest son of the poet 조지훈, my mother-side-cousin laughed at me saying ' 야--- 아저씬 진짜 깜깜 하구나, 놀랫다!' when I asked him whether it is true that the U.N. held the regular meeting only for one stupid Korean kids' sing and dance group!

Doc, please don't feel so bad about your ancient dinosaur status.
After all, you are a gray-haired professor. That's where you belong, sorry to say.
I am trying very hard to be as "contemporary" as possible.
And I am partially successful in it in Laguna Woods because of the necessity.
However, I know my mind does not really belong there.
Yet, still, I try to do what they do.

Thanks, my buddy but reaching way beyond the grey hair, rather white hair, I start to wonder how long could I hang around like now. Indeed, more and more, I feel conscious on my age in these days - at least for the last 8 months I don't have to meet the peoples!- and when the vaccine should our lives back to the normal, presumably late Fall of 2021, according to Anthony Fauci, which means I will hit the age of 83, two years short reaching to the average life limit/span. Then, the resuming the travel like nothing ever happened in 2022- my protege, Sergio Gianesini booked me on the Dubai Congress in Feb 2022, believe or not- would make me look crazy even if I might live through till then!

A bit embarrassed to tell you, Dr. Ohn, that this is the first time to watch BTS performance though I heard even from my French colleague in Paris who went to see them with full of compliments last year.
I, once again, feel I am really 'ancient' like a dinosaur through this video. Indeed, it recalls my 'uneasy' acknowledgment of my 'ancient' status reluctantly more than 10 years ago while at Georgetown U before moving to George Washington U with my troop. I was asked to join for the interview on three vascular surgery fellow candidates for the final selection and one of them walked in, trying to control/hide his giggling which annoyed me. So I asked him straight what's wrong with him for such an unusual attitude which bothered me. He was instantly stiffened and confessed that he thought I was long gone/dead because his colleagues at Mayo where he did his residency called me a 'dinosaur' surgeon so that he was really surprised to meet me for the interview. I was quite embarrassed to hear such a totally unexpected explanation and didn't know how I could respond but to have acknowledged my 'ancient' status helplessly!
Well, I have the same feeling after I saw such a world-famous BTS video, who was invited even to the U.N. if I remember correctly. Although their motion was so vivid/youthful - I can't understand a word though I didn't try seriously!-, sadly I was not able to get the kick out of it to stir up my emotion/empathy to share their overflowing passion/feeling. So I once again confirmed I am ancient at best if not 'dead' emotionally like 'dinosaur' as my fellow confessed.
All the best,
BB Lee
