Our congratulations for the safe landing of Perseverance Rover on Mars !!

Wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Spectacular!!!!! A real odyssey!!!!

Watched the video three times, noticing two narrators are Indian Americans! 
So,  (Asian) Indians are everywhere, making a head start on all these new techs, etc, etc, not only in medicine but also this space mission as well !!! Where are Korean Americans? They all become the doctor or lawyer or Korean church pastors?

Indeed, we do see more and more Indians in our neighborhood through the last decades here in Northern Virginia and even a couple of oddly located Korean restaurants away from Koreatown were taken over by Indian restaurants, besides Korean grocery stores - we finally had one Korean supermarket, Lotte, nearby our area, Herndon, Northern Virginia but the majority of groceries/goods are for Indian with a limited supply of Korean stuff!!!-. Yes, Indians are coming! Better than Chinese?

I noticed the same, i.e. the prominence of Asian Indians and Parkistanis

among the scientists commenting this event.

Indeed they have succeeded in becoming significant part of mainstream America,

namely in politics, business, science, medicine, spelling bee championships, 

etc, perhaps except in golf and sports.

Currently my older son serves as dean at California State University,  LA campus,

who has degrees in social work and education, EdD, and thru him over the years

I have observed what kinds of people he has had to deal with with quite a few

being Asian Indians or Parkistanis besides Latinos and Chinese.

My son gets the credit for pioneering and revolutionizing how to train social workers in USA

by creating a simulation lab at CSU for the first time in USA.

My three children were born, raised and educated in Michigan, and all moved to

California as soon as they were done with education

where they've enjoyed the diversity of the people, and belatedly I must admit

I too enjoy the same in CA along with better recognition and respect for Asian Americans,

which I feel daily in dealing with all my neighbors who are 100% whites and outside where

I have to deal with diverse people. There are no Asian Indians in our golfing community 

for whatever reason.

As I was putting this video up, I also noticed Asian faces in the NASA control room.

That was more impressive than the Perseverance touching on Mars.

Asians are penetrating into the premium jobs in the scientific institutions,

despite the suspicion of information leaking to third-world countries.

Anyway, they seem to be an essential part of the highest technical world in the U.S.

One thing I assume is that many Koreans would rather be loafing in the golf courses,

rather than to be stuck in the stressful world of serious occupations.

I guess I am one of those Korean-American loafers and I will forgive them for what they are now.

Haven't we paid enough living through the wars, corruptions, poverties, and discriminations?
