Faure:Cantique de Jean Racine Op 11
Cantique de Jean Racine ( Chant by Jean Racine),Op.11은 Gabriel Faure,의 혼성 합창과 Piano 와 Organ을 위한 작곡입니다.
Text는 1688년의 Jean Racine이 작사한 "Word,one with the Highest"로 천주교의 화요일 아침예배때 쓰는 찬송가입니다.
19 살의 작곡가가 1865년 Composition Competition인 "Ecole Niedermeyer de Paris"때 이 Text를 써서 1등 상을 받았읍니다.
그다음해 1866년 4 August 에 처음연주 했읍니다.그형식이 나중에 작곡한 Requiem과 비슷해 가끔 이 두곡을 같이 연주합니다.
Requiem은 1887년에서 1890년에 작곡했으며 "Eternal Rest"와 위로를 그리려 노력 했으며 Eternal Rest에 대한 Human feeling of Faith를 표현 하려 했답니다.
