No sitting American president has ever met a North Korean leader, and the meeting with Kim Jong-un would be a breathtaking gamble.

When Kim is talking about denuclearization, he means "of Korean pinninsula".
South Korean government conveys his message to the public as if he meant
that of North Korea. Perhaps, they assume South Korea had been denuclearized
because there are no nuclear weapons in Korea. But North Korea is threatened by
U.S. nuclear submarines, nuclear weapons in Guam and Japan. Kim is probably
counting all of US nuclear weapons aiming at North Korea.
Would U.S. retreat all of these nuclear weapons aiming at North Korea if North
Korea gives up their nuclear weapons?

Japan and South Korea worry that President Trump may offer too many concessions to Kim Jong-un, or turn to a military option if talks fail.

I sincerely hope that it works though I do have grave doubts upon Kim's integrity.
However if it doesn't, most likely there will be a war, big tragedy to Koreans, both South and North.

The security of Japan is up to U.S.A.. She is not permitted to conduct a war on her own.
U.S.A. does not have enough money to commit herself to depend South Korea if
the war break out in the penninsula. Abe is trying very hard to get back the right of
sovereign nation. North and South Korea has to fight each other to achieve its goal.
Then, he can send his troops to Korea and U.S. will save money and lives of young men
and women.

For Kim, the most pressing problem is the sanction. He is probably desperate to end it.
But will he give up his nuclear weapons ? I doubt it.
For Trump, North Korea is the good one to hold on to it to deviate attention from Russian collusion.
How far is he going to go? It depends on how desperate he becomes on the matter.

How President Trump threw aside caution and agreed to meet with North Korea’s Kim Jong-un in a daring and risky diplomatic gambit to end a nuclear standoff.
The old cliche, "God works in a mysterious way", indeed
may be the only way to describe what's been happening.
Let's hope and pray that something good and lasting that guarantees
peace and freedom in Korean Peninsula will emerge.
