이 번 남북 정상회담의 가장 중요한 이벤트는 “군사 협정”; 실질적인 남북 종전 협정이 

라고 생각 합니다. 이렇게 남과 북, 북과 미 정상이 자주 만나 서로 친해 지면, 북한의 핵 

에 대한 두려움이 약화되어 비핵화 압력이 사라 질 가능 성이 많 습니다. 인도나 파키스탄 

처럼 보이기 시작 할 것입니다. 아마도 김정은은 시간을 끌며 어떻게 든 경제 제재를 풀고 

핵을 유지 하려고 할 것입니다. 공격무기가 아님을 인식 시키면 만사 해결 입니다. 

노동신문은 며칠 전에 “칼 가진 나라가 방패로 막을 려는 나라 보고 먼저 방패를 내려 놓으 

라”고 한다고 했 습니다. 북한 핵은 방패(방어 무기)이고 미국 핵(공격 무기)라는 말로 

해석이 됩니다. 

I may be contrary to the general conservative view... I know and understand.

But after having waited 68 years with nothing happening and there's no hope that anything new is possible. 

There must have been something definitely wrong because we are not getting any closer to the unification.

I lost my patience. We have to try something different. That's what Moon may be trying.

I wish North Korea does not give up the nuclear weapons. 

As Moon is trying now, the peace treaty between the South and North may get done,

no matter how much we are against it while sitting in America.

Then, the nuclear weapon of the North does not mean anything to the South.

However, it will be for both Koreans against all those big guys like China, Japan, and America.

This is just one view about the nuclear weapons of the North.

Please, remember. the South Korean people elected Moon as their president.

It is their land, not ours.

한반도에 핵이 정착하면, 모든 약소 국가들이 핵을 가지려 할 것이고,

일본은 몇개월 내에 핵 무장을 할 것이고,전 세계는 점점 종말에 가까워  져요.

과연 이 것이 한반도가 바랄것인지 다시 한번 생각해 볼 일이 아닐가요.

또 과연 한반도가 핵을 가진다고 한민족이 평화롭게 산다는 결론이 나올 수 있을까요? 

감정적으로야 무슨 생각을 못 하겠어요.

하나 한반도의 핵은 이 지구의 판도라 상자를 여는 지름길의 열쇠라고 본인은 생각합니다.

어떤 사람들은 모두가 핵을 가지면 모두가 평화롭게 살리라고 생각할 수도 있겠네요.

Basically, the nuclear weapons owned by the stronger nations are of no use at all.

They exist only as a deterrent except for some accidental launches.

Every nation with nuclear weapons can have a crazy guy who may push the nuclear button.

Maybe, as an exception, Iran can use one intentionally to Israel if they have the weapon.

Otherwise, no nation in a right mind in the rest of the world will use it anyway.

North Korea will never be able to use it unless they get completely crazy.

Now, China is bullying Philippine, Vietnam, Japan, Taiwan, and possibly South Korea

because these small nations have much less military power.

Small nations don't have to have millions of soldiers, tanks, battleships, or fighter airplanes. 

All they need is a few nuclear bombs. They will take care of it.

The more nuclear weapons in the world, the fewer possibilities that they can be used.

The relationship dynamics between nations can radically change by the ownership of nuclear weapons.

If one of our neighbors has one, we should have one too.

"모든 약소 국가들이 핵을 가지려 할 것이고,...전 세계는 점점 종말에 가까워  져요"

 is the bully's (superpowers) talk to the small nations, so that they can stay on as the bullies.

Please don't get sold on it and don't be a sucker.

We have been brainwashed to believe the above line by the superpowers of the world.

Whether you are in the shoes of stronger or weaker nations,

the views and meanings about nuclear weapons become very different.

North Korea has achieved the intended goal already. We can see the proof of it now.

That's why I say we,  Koreans (north or/and south), should keep a few of those damn things.

Not long ago, 김정은 was regarded as Khadafy of Libya. Now, he is pictured as

peace-loving nice guy to the whole world. I am truly amazed by his shrewd tactics

maximizing leverage of nuclear weapon. South Korea, America, China and rest of

the world praises the meeting of  South and North leaders in 평양. And Kim

is progressively looking nicer and nicer. 

There were only two nuclear weapons used as an offensive weapon in human history.

The whole world recognized its devastating destruction and the fear of the tremendous

destruction laid out the rule silently, that superpowers have it for nuclear threat and 

weak nations have it for the defensive weapon. The actual nuclear attack never happened since

then. However, it gave the great leverage to nuclear nations. For superpowers, especially

the U.S., it is OK to have the bomb for the nations that follow their policies and ideals.

But it becomes a problem when the nations that do not follow them. It is quite clear that

NK is transforming from the latter to become the former. I think NK will eventually be

like present-day Vietnam.

I am really hoping that North Korea becomes like Vietnam.

I that process, I hope it becomes compatible and co-existible with South Korea.

And there will be a good chance that the unification will happen.

However, there is a very good chance of China taking over North Korea if it fails.

Then Korea will be forever un-unifiable !! It will be gone forever.

I was there in Vietnam and saw it. It seems to be free and prosperous.
In the streets and highways, there are still communists' red flags all over.

Yet, it does not look like miserable North Korea. The unification of Vietnam was a good thing.

My feeling is that Vietnam will be like South Korea in economic power very soon.

위의 두 분은 평화를 이야기하는 웃음을 띄우는 사람들은 다 선한 사람일 것이라고 믿는 것 같군요.

그러면 좋겠지요. 하나 우리는 사람을 판단 할 때, 역사에서 본 비슷한 사람들을 지금의 사람들과

비교합니다. 그래서 역사를 얘기하고 그 역사에서 무언을 배우려 하지요.

역사에서는 예상대로 된일 보다는 생각지 못한 일들이 더 많이 있고 ,

그러한 일들이 엄청난 사태를 가져 왔네요.

트럼프가 이성적이라고 믿으면 좋겠고, 김정은이 제대로 아는 사람이면 더 좋고,

문재인씨가 무얼 알고서 일을 한다면 최고이겠지요.

저도 그러길 정말 기대해요. 만일 그게 아니라면 일어 날일들은 엄청 위험합니다.

핵폭탄을 만들 줄 몰라서 안 만드는 것이 아니라 만들면 일어 날 문제가(경제적, 정치적, 국제문제들)

많습니다. 김정은은 그걸 알겠지요. 문재인이는 그걸 알까요?

저는 김은 아는데 문이 모를까봐 걱정이어요.

전에도 제가 말 했지만, 문은 정당하게 선출된 사람이니 우리는 보고만 있을 수 밖엔 없지요.

잘 못되더라도 책임이 없어요. 김은 잘 못되면 책임을 질까요? 모르죠.

자, 이젠 제 생각을 그리죠. 한국은 중국, 일본과 잘 지낼 수는 없습니다.

미국을 이용하여 살아 남는 것이 현실적이어요.

미국은 북한과 대만을 이용하여 태평양에서 주도권을 쥐려 하겠죠.

문재인씨가 그걸 알면  좀더 외교를 잘 해야죠.(잘 하고 있다고 믿습니다만) 황당한 소리 같지만,

Washington DC에는 조용히 이러한 말들을 합니다. 핵이 문제가 아니고, 돈이 문제야.

김정은은 이걸 알겠죠. 문재인씨는무얼 아는지?

한반도가 핵을 가지면 경제적으로도 힘을 쓸 수 있을까요?

누가 한반도의 물건을 사 줄까요? 곰곰이 생각 할 문제죠.

I am glad we get to discuss and exchange opinions on some of these political matters

together on this website. That's why the website exists.

We needed to be supported by the US during the Korean War and while we were a hoplessly

underdeveloped country in the past. Not anymore. We can not stay that way forever.

We should stand on our own.

We should look for a way of survival on our own without relying on any damn external forces.
역사적으로 이왕조가 청나라에 의존해서 살았지요. 그 결과는? 아시겠지요.
우리도 미국에만 의존해서 살다가는 같은 꼴이 될겄입니다.

We don't want to repeat the same history again.

I don't understand what you mean by this phrase.
I don't see any problem in having nuclear weapons and, at the same time, having a prosperous economic power.

Rather, one will help the other. Other nations will be glad to buy from Korea knowing

that Korea is not just a push-over by the superpower. We will be the superpower itself.

I don't see anything wrong with Korea being equipped with nuclear power.

The nuclear weapon is the power. And the power is the money.

For us, the nuclear weapon is the priority of all,

while hanging on someone else's (US) coattails is not.

The U.S. may look nice and kind but eventually, they are nothing but SOBs.

So are (and were) the superpowers of the past and present.

as genuinely concerned Koreans.

I confess I don't have anything useful to add other than saying that we Koreans

have had tough times trusting their political leaders for too long.

Korean people have been disappointed by too many of them.

As a consequence most of the time they are lost and fail to develop any significant national will,

I believe.

Hopefully President Moon and his assistants will earn the trust of the people by continuing 

their sincere efforts and help unite the people better and show the leadership the nation needs.
