I decided to wear the mask indoors where a lot of people come and go.
I have to reconsider my travel plans this year. I do not think we are ready
to go back to pre-COVID conditions yet.

Couldn't agree more, doc, especially for my age group! Yes, I seriously consider
withdrawing my consent on my first out-of-town trip since the pandemic
to Orlando, Fla this October for Veith Symposium.
So, depressing to see no bright light at the end of the tunnel yet despite such enthusiasm
they made it through the vaccine.
Perhaps through the next year?

The third shot or the booster shot to the elderly and immunosuppressed people should be approved
in an expedited manner. CDC and FDA should not be dragging their feet as they used to do.
This should be a pandemic-controlling policy.

I couldn't agree more with Steve!
There is no reason to waste such invaluable asset, the vaccine, to the human garbages/Trampist Republicans who refuse to get the vaccination allowing to let them die- wishing to drop dead instead of wasting the hopsital resources and put the innocent hospital workers in extra risks!!-. Sooner they get killed by the virus, safer for us with proper vaccination.

Fauci says Americans who are fully vaccinated do not need booster shots at this time

Efficacy of Pfizer vaccine against delta variant is said to be 64 %,
quite a drop from 90 plus % in the original study.
Pfizer is getting ready for the 3rd booster shot designed to deal with
delta variant, says this article.
I suppose Moderna will do the same.
We will see. This delta variant appears to be turning the table
in its favor.
