If China invades Taiwan, it will be the mother of all wars.

I wish South Korea stays out of it. We do not want to have any casualties of the war.

For the first time in history, let the giants fight out while the dwarfs stay out and watch the game.

The civility of the Taiwanese is one of the best in the world. 

Taiwan and South Korea are the two countries that the U.S. succeeded in nation-building 

after world war II. Both are developed democratic countries.

However, Taiwan is the product of failed China policy by the U.S.. She is certainly a hot potato. 

During the Cino-Japanese war, the U.S. and Great Britain aided mostly Japan even though

they sold weapons and loaned the money to China. But after Japan invaded Indo-China, 

they began to stop selling weapons, parts of fighter planes, and fuels to Japan. 

Then squeezed Japan attacked Pearl Harbor to make the U.S. help her war efforts in 1941.

It was the start of the Pacific War. FDR raised the status of China to be one of 4 major allied 

forces; the U.S., GK, USSR, and Republic of China. ROC was led by Changkeisuk and Kungmindang.

During Cino-Japanese War (1937-1945), both the Chinese Communist Party(CCP) and KMT 

formed a united front to fight against Japan. USSR was in favor of China particularly for CCP

during the war.

The counterpart of 4 major allied forces was the Axis of Evils; Germany, Italy, and Japan. 

That's why we could see Chang was sitting with FDR, Churchill, and Stalin in Cario meeting.

When Japan surrendered to ROC in 1945, the united front broke apart and the Chinese civil war

began. The U.S. massively aided KMT and Chang. But Chang became a dictator and terribly

corrupted. USSR aided CCP. In 1945, USSR invaded Manchuria to fight against the Japanese

(관동군). USSR basically handed over Manchuria and the weapons taken from Japanese 

army to CCP. Mao became very popular among Chinese farmers because he promised

land ownership to tenant farmers. 

In 1949 Chang fled to Taiwan and Mao proclaimed the People's Republic of China(중공).

Chang established the new government of ROC in Taiwan. 

The U.S. was fed up with Chang and had no intention to defend Taiwan if Mao tried to

occupy Taiwan. But the fortune turned in favor of Chang when Kim Ilsung 

invaded South Korea in 1950. Truman decided to defend Taiwan and dispatched 

7th aircraft carrier Taiwan Strait. 

Mao moved 200,000 troops that were ready to invade Taiwan on the southern shore

to Manchuria to defend U.S. forces that might cross 38 parallel. 

ROC in Taiwan was one of the permanent members of the board in Security Council of

UN instead of PROC of the mainland until PROC began to establish diplomatic relations

with the U.S. in 1971 during the Nixon administration. Since then Taiwan began to lose 

internationaly recognized status as a nation. 

But the U.S. has never stopped military aids and trade relations. Most of the countries including 

PROC in mainland actively trade with Taiwan. In 1970 Chang was building nuclear weapons

and the US air force bombed the facility. USSR(Russia), BK, France, US, and ROC in Taiwan 

were 5 permanent members of the board in UN security Council and ROC was the only

country that did not have nuclear weapons.

In Taiwan, some people want an independent country, others want to unite with PROC

in the mainland. I think Taiwan needs nuclear weapons to keep PROC from invading her.

If the US were to directly involve in the war between two Chinas, I think World War III

is quite possible.
