California State estimates 25.5 million people, 56% of its population,
will contract the coronavirus in 8 weeks.
LA mayor ordered alll people to stay at home and stop all nonessential activities
outside. Governor issued statewide stay at home order starting this evening.
Basically they predict California will become another Italy in 8 weeks.
hope and pray sincerely their prediction will be wrong.

"All 40 million residents in the state of California have been ordered to stay home to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
The state is one of the worst affected in the US after Washington and New York. There are now 910 coronavirus cases in California, including 19 deaths.
New York has at least 5,298 cases, while Washington has at least 1,376 confirmed cases.
California is the most populous US state and is the country's largest state economy."
The CNN news said in the above that California has 910 confirmed coronavirus cases.
It is ridiculous even to mention it because the average citizen in CA cannot get the test even though
so many want to have the test almost desperately.
Kaiser Permanente is apparently planning to open a few drive-thru set up for their own patients.
People here want to have drive through tests just like in Korea but won't have them anytime soon.
So California is following Italy's footsteps literally.
So we seniors will try to stay put at home as much as we can
hoping and praying for the best for only God knows how long.
Thanks a million, WM, for your encouraging words and suggestions.
hope you and Mrs. are better protected there than here.

I think Governor is using scare tactics to make people comply with preventive measures.
Most of the cases will be around big cities near coastlines. Inland counties will be relatively safe.
Even though California is lagging behind testing, lockdowns and social distancing were started
before the spread becomes out of hands like Italy. In our area, there is no community spread yet.
Being a big country, the U.S. spread will show wide differences depending on localities.
Doc, I am not sure if I did a smart thing to have driven out of California a week ago.
Colorado doesn't have us locked yet so that we are free to move around so far.
However, darn it, skiing slopes are closed now.
Please stay about 3 feet away from your computer screen. I am about 3 feet from my screen.
So, we are at least 6 feet apart, legally permissible distance.
I guess they count the electronic Internet space (your screen to my screen) as zero distance
because we are only one mouse click away. (You and I are actually 1,050 miles and 16 hours away by car).
Get plenty of Kimchee and Rice. You can survive at least 8 weeks with them.
Wishing you have a good time there and hoping they don't close the Internet....
