The long winless drought for Tiger Woods is now over. Woods claimed the title at the Arnold Palmer Invitational on March 25. The win marked the first time in 30 months that Woods tasted victory, snapping a winless streak on the PGA Tour that stretched back to the BMW Championship in September 2009. Frankly, I was surprised that Woods won at Bay Hill in such a dominating fashion. This looked like the Tiger Woods of old, having the final round lead, extending that lead and never seriously being challenged. I expected Graeme McDowell and Ernie Els to play a little better than they did, especially given the circumstances for Els. With a Masters invitation on the line, Els was not up to the challenge. While Els did finish tied for fourth, a 3-over par 75 was not what he had mind when he went to the first tee. Graeme McDowell must also be quite disappointed. After a double bogey at the opening hole it seemed that he was never really in it from that point forward. One got the feeling that Woods' march to victory was inevitable. The win at Bay Hill was the seventh victory at the Arnold Palmer Invitational for Tiger Woods and his 72nd victory on the PGA Tour. After the round Woods talked about how tough the playing conditions were in the final round. When asked by a reporter to describe the feeling of winning again, Tiger described the win as "pure joy". Later, when asked to pick out his best shot of the day, Woods said that he "hit a lot of good ones" and really did not want to single one shot out. When pressed, he did mention the par putt on the 15th which I thought was very reminiscent of the old Tiger Woods. Tournament host Arnold Palmer was not able to congratulate Woods on his victory at the tournament's conclusion. The golfing legend was advised to go to the hospital right before the competition ended. Palmer had been monitoring his blood pressure and will remain overnight at a local hospital. Here's hoping that Palmer will be better soon and can attend the upcoming Masters. Dwight Crisp |

My feeling about Tiger is that he should win "ONCE IN A WHILE".
Winning most of the time is not much entertaining to most golfing fans.
"Sympathetic" prayer for him to win was very strong lately.
But such feeling wasn't there when he was winning everything.
We are, by nature, always for the "UNDERDOG".
We are glad that he won this time because he had been an underdog for a while.
For the same token, Korean players winning LPGA all the time proved to be "NO FUN".
Occasional excellence is highly prized and praised
but persisting dominant excellence is boring.
I do not want "the old tiger" to return for that reason.
He should have gone over the hill and then shines brightly only once in a while.
Sorry... but I am always a contrarian (or in a position to be so).

30개월만에 이루어낸 값진 우승이다.
더구나 다시 우승 써클로 돌아올려고 안감힘을 할시 특히 2010년 Chevron World
