Sports [LPGA] Hee Young Park wins CME Group Titleholders

  Fourth-year LPGA Tour member Hee Young Park of South Korea broke away from a loaded leaderboard of top-ranked players to win the LPGA’s final tournament of the year at the CME Group Titleholders. Park, No. 58 in the Rolex Rankings, carded a final-round score of 2-under 70 to win by two shots at 9-under 279. Park became a Rolex First-Time Winner at Grand Cypress Resort in Orlando, Fla., and earned the winner’s prize of $500,000 for the victory. “It was difficult on the greens with tough pin positions today,” said Park, 24, who won three titles on the 2005 Korean LPGA where she was the KLPGA’s 2005 Rookie of the Year. “I felt the pressure. I tried hard. I always felt I could win, so today I know that dreams come true.” Park’s steady putter on the the quick greens at Grand Cypress enabled her to edge out seventh-ranked Paula Creamer (70) and No. 44 Sandra Gal (72), who tied for second at 7-under 281. Gal and Park entered Sunday’s final round tied for the lead. Tied for fourth at 6-under 282 was No. 4 Na Yeon Choi (70) and second-ranked Suzann Pettersen (72). 박희영 선수에 대해 몇마디 더 한다면 2005년에 KLPGA에서
최나연 선수를 제치고 신인왕이 되었으며 한국선수들이 뽑았던
제일 멋진 수윙을 하는 선수였답니다.한국에서 3승을 이룬후 2008년 Q school 3위로 LPGA에 입성
하여 95번 시도후에 얻은 귀중한 우승이랍니다. 규정 -

작년 LA에서 한점차로 신지애를 물리쳤던 Sandra Gal 을 박희영 선수가 물리쳐준데 대해
대단히 만족합니다.
작년에도 신지애-Sandra가 final round에서 둘이 접전해서 Seesaw game을 벌렸는데
애석하게도 신지애 양이 마즈막 홀에서 졌지요.
금년에도 Kia Open (at LA)과 Kraft Championship (at Palm Srings)을 볼 예정입니다. -

요즈음은 여자 골프선수들이 기량,미모,몸매가 다 받혀주어야
되는양 하나같이 다 구비된것 같습니다.신지애선수는 이번대회에 qualified되었는데 불참한 이유를
모르겠습니다. 부상?내년에 우리 한인낭자들이 Yani Tseng의 독주를 얼마나 막을수
있느냐와 대학졸업후의 full time Michelle Wie의 성적이 궁금하네요. 규정
비록 박희영 선수가 LPGA 4년차 선수라도 마지막날 leader board에
LPGA top star들이 즐비하게 있어서 승리를 낙관 할수없는 상황 이었는데
박희영 선수는 침착하게 특히 back nine에서 critical par saving
putting을 몇개 해내어 2위인 Sandra Gal을 2점차로 LPGA 첫승을 따냈다.
이로서 LPGA 금년 season이 마감되었는데 우리 한인 낭자들은 지난번 최나연
선수의 한인낭자 LPGA 통산 100승을 일구어 냈고 유소연 선수의 US Open
우승등 3승을 해냈다.또 서희경선수가 LPGA 2011년 신인상을 따냈다.
힘든 우승을 해낸 박희영 선수에게 큰 박수를 보낸다. 규정
