General From the Queen Mary 2

Having passed the south of New Foundland, we are in the middle of Northern Atlantic Ocean somewhere heading to Southampton, UK. This webpage is being sent from the ship's satellite Internet connection.  We boarded on Queen Mary 2 at the westside dock of Manhattan. Owned by the Cunard Cruiselines, this is the world's largest, tallest, and longest cruise ship of the world. We decided to take the trip on the Queen Mary 2 and pass the Statue of Liberty for the celebration of my 40th year in America.  The skyline of Mahattan at the right and New Jersey at left. The Statue of Liberty faintly visible as a greenish-blue shadow at the New Jersey side.  The central atrium lounge where we entered the ship.  The Queen's Theater.  The Britannia Dining Room that can hold about 1000 people at a time, serving all guests in two shifts. The ship's total capacity is 2640 guests.  This is supposed to be the largest "floating" ballroom dance floor at the Queen's Room. It's about 2/3 of a full size basketball court.  For the moment, two of us are in charge of representing SNUMC-1965 class on Her Majesty's dance floor at the Queen Mary 2.  We were passing in front of the Statue of Liberty. Not like those European immigrants, I arrived in America on June 29, 1965 through Honolulu at the other side of the United States of America. But her blessings must have spread upon to me as well. Now, it was the fitting occasion to pass her with the liberty in my hands 40 years later. God Bless America. on the QueenMary 2 in the North Atlantic |

Are there enough things to do there?
Concert, Movie, Dance, visiting cities, good food,..What else?
I hope they do not show the movie Titanic!
My only cruise was on a military transportation ship for 5 days and I was paid!

여신상 바로 윗사진,,,,, 가운데 두사람의 그림은 정말 너무 보기좋으네요.
오박사님 말씀처럼 미국에서의 당당한 삶의 성공으로 여유있는 두분의 모습은 정말 아름답습니다.
Queen Mary 2 내부시설이 무척 좋네요.
물론 사진의 주인공 남녀의 춤이 가장 돋보이고 아름다웠음이 틀림었었겠지요?

I can not type in Korean here.
Bow tie is not necessary. Just a dark-colored suit (tuxedo not necessary either) and white shirt,
and any tie is OK.
No motion sickness. No one seems to have the problem.
This is a big ship and we seldom feel any movement (only occasional small movements only).
It is like standing in the midle of a big concrete building.
You don't have to know how to dance. It's just one activity.
Out of 2600 people, only about 150 people can dance in this ship now. It seems that this ship has a lot of good dancers but in most other cruise ships, dancers are much less fewer in number. -

우리 한국에서는 그림의 떡이 아닐까? 그래도 dance 를 어느 정도는 할 수 있어야지. 우리도 빨리 시간을 만들 수 있어야 하는데.
