I agree with this approach.
Drs can make morning rounds by the "Zoom" video setting and check out
all the vital signs and patient's condition together with family or the caretaker at the bedside.
According to my recent experiences, when one gets admitted to hospital in a hurry,
and then nothing was happening afterward, except sitting and waiting.
We checked out a hospital by an AMA in Irvine, CA when I found absolutely nothing was done.
There are so many situations that can be managed at home instead of being in hospital.

I am afraid that it is the product of DRG package reimbursement system.
Cost cutting will leave more profits to the hospital. It is extremely hard to
know the true benefit for the patient when new
payment system is created in the name of health care cost reduction.
If all the ideas have led to real cost cutting, my health insurrance premiums
would have become almost zero. It is a laughing matter. Instead it has increased
every year much more than inflation. I think it is just like stock market.
I like this initiative by Mayo Clinic.
I believe the treating physician is given another choice
and can use his medical judgment in deciding which medical conditions
can be best handled at home.
I am hoping that many hospital admissions of the elderly can be handled at home.
