Poem by Hahn Joong Lee, Webpage by Sukjoo |

Definitely, I see Perception Difference, sun-bae-nim,
Difference between a poet who writes a poem about "Snow"
And a street boy who even hates hearing a word, "Snow".
They forecast another snowstorm is on the way on Tuesday
and Wednesday here in NY. We had almost 40 inches of Snow
so far. Streets are full of Garbage Bags and Mounds of Snow.
My Mind and Soul is Getting Rotten day by day, sun-bae-nim.
It's because I belong to the Streets and Nature,
Nature under the warm and bright Sunlight.

Dr. Bang,
I'm sorry to hear what you are going through dealing with
the complications brought on by a series of heavy snow.
You might have thought that I was dreaming to say the words.
New York, as you know, is known to bring warm weather just as quickly
as the snowy one so that I'm certain that all that snow will melt away
much quicker than you think.
I'm afraid this is the only comforting word I can think of right now.
" Dear God,
Give me the courage to live and work
for a new heaven and a new earth
as Jesus did.
Give me the freedom to be critical
when I see evil
and to offer praises
where I see goodness.
Most of all,
make me faithful to the vision
you have given me,
so that wherever I go and
whomever I meet,
I can be a sign of your all-renewing love.
Amen."
