Grandma, Grandpa and Me

1) Grandma and Grandpa have a big garden.
He grows the vegetables and she grows the
flowers. She eats the vegetables and he smells
the flowers. I think that's fair.

참 좋은 글들 입니다.

천진 난만한 아이들의 눈으로 본 할아버지, 할머니 이야기들.

이제 나도 할아버지가 되고 보니 여기올린 글들이 마음에 와 닿는 군요.

우리도 건일님과 같은 경험을 합니다.
When it's time to pay after a meal together,
I always makes sure I'm one step ahead of my children in paying the bill.
Once in a while, my son-in-law outdoes me, however.
My wife says the same thing Mrs. Lee said.
"It's good for children to learn to treat their parents so
let them pay once in a while."
I have'n started doing it regularly yet, however.
I have fond memories of my grandpa who deceased when I was 16.
As I'm in his age now, I think of him a lot and relive every memory all the time.
I consider the duties of grandparents to be enormous
as I have five grandchildren and watch them grow.
We grandparents can't help feeling closer to our grandchildren than our own children,
emotionally, that is.

For your information, Seungja-nim is Mrs. Cho Sung Koo(조성구 '65), and
Sukjoo is my better half.

배경음악으로 넣은 음악은 England의 소년합창단(Libera Boys Choir)'이 노래하는 Canon 음악 중
"쌍뚜스- Sanctus" 입니다.(an adaptation of Pachelbel's Canon in D minor).

Canon 음악 "Sanctus(거룩하시다)"는 원래 '하느님을 향한 기도'를 뜻하는 그레고리오 성가입니다.
캐토릭 전례 음악의 정수로 알려진 그레고리오 성가는 기도,교리, 하느님과의 통교로서 이루워지는 음악이며,
이러한 음악은 깨끗하고 청명한 아카펠라(무반주 합창) 형식으로 지난 1500년 동안 발전하고 집대성되어 왔습니다.

I am very sorry I read Sukjoo-nim as Sungja-nim, Lee sun-bae-nim.
These days I notice my eyesight is failing. It's time to visit eye
doctor to check it and change my eyeglasses,if necessary.
Thank you, Sukjoo-nim, for your explantion of Libera Sanctus.
When I saw at the end of your writing, I did not know what it
meant and I clicked wikipedia. Everyday is learning experience
to me through our Web. Thanks, everybody.
