Mr. Lodge. How large an advisory group would you contemplate?

"General Bolte. Five hundred officers and men.

"Mr. Lodge. You feel that the Korean Government is able to fill the vacuum caused

by the withdrawal of the occupation forces?

"General Bolte. Definitely."

Maj. Gen. Charles L. Bolte was then Director of the Plans and Operations Division, Department of the Army.

General Bolte's superior, at the time he delivered this testimony, was the Deputy Chief of Staff for Plans and Combat Operations, Lt. Gen. Albert C. Wedemeyer.

3. In describing the testimony of the administration before the House Foreign Affairs Committee in June 1949, the Republican candidate, in his speech, makes the following statement:

"The Secretary of State was asked if he agreed that the South Koreans alone--and I quote--'will be able to defend themselves against any attack from the northern half of the country.' To this, the Secretary answered briskly: 'We share the same view. Yes, sir.'"(본문에서)

그때도 미국 대통령 과 장군들은  거짓말을 했다. 모두 국민을 속였다. 결과는 한국전쟁이었다.

I want to talk about happy things, man!” protested President Joe Biden in early July, when reporters asked him about the imminent withdrawal of the last American forces from Afghanistan, expected sometime in the next few weeks. No wonder he wants to change the subject: America has been fighting in Afghanistan for 20 years. It has spent more than $2trn on the war. It has lost thousands of its own troops and seen the death of tens of thousands of Afghans—soldiers and civilians alike. Now America is calling an end to the whole sorry adventure, with almost nothing to show for it.

*What a waste, What a shame! Too many of these will bring down any country in the world.

Do you think Koreans would do differently, Dr. Ohn, better than Afghans? No way, doc, no way!!!

Honestly, I fear to say 'same', perhaps worse now!!! No matter what South Koreans bark with the illusion, I dare say the whole SK will be crumbled within a few days once the American army leaves from Korean soil, period!!!! Absolutely, I am sure!!! How?

I observed keenly with awe that how much SK people were changed while I was away for a quarter-century when I went back to Seoul in 1994 to set up the surgery program for Samsung Hospital and Sungkyoonkwan Univ. They were NOT the same people who endured Korean War but changed to entirely different people with different mentalities; they all became so-called ‘socialists’, claiming all are equal. So it is no surprise at all they elected Moony’s group who are dying to hand over SK to Kim/NK.

So when the U.S. soldiers should leave SK, I bet 100% SK will be liquidated within a week to welcome Kim with no doubts! Indeed, I had a unique experience to get to know quite a few senior US army staying in SK while I was in Seoul serving as ‘surgeon in charge’ for POTUS – Bill Clinton and George Bush - whenever he leaves US Continent to come East to Korea, Japan, China, etc till I come back home to the U.S. Due to my unique relationship with the Commander in Chief as a surgeon in charge and also as a consultant to Walter Reed group as a professor of the Uniformed Services University of MS, I had an ample chance to communicate with many of them on their opinion on SK especially of their army.

Believe me, I was so shocked and embarrassed to hear about the stark nature of the Korean army they work together. And I made myself reachable around the clock to get the special evacuation with the Embassy peoples together whenever needed with no complaints!

So, you think SK is better than Afghanistan?

When other countries are saying "crushing defeat" and "fleeing at night", 

US President appears in the public and proudly announcing "mission accomplished".

After spending 2 trillion dollars and sacrificing many young lives,

the country is back to the Taliban. If the mission was capturing Osama bin laden,

it should have been over years ago. Transparency is supposed to be the principle 

of democracy. The US government has not told the true reason the troops were sent to Afghanistan.

And I do not know it either,  but what the government is saying to the public is a lie.

The true reason must be an unjustifiable one. The whole world wants to know it.
 

한국은 미ㆍ중 대결 국면에서 주한미군의 전략적 가치가 높아지기 때문에 미국이 한반도에서 움직일 수 없을 것이라고 생각한다. 그건 오산일 수 있다. 미국은 늘 주판알을 퉁기며 주한미군의 값어치를 계산할 것이다. 그리고, 비용이 효과를 앞서는 순간 주저 없이 뺄 것이다. 한국은 미국과 공통의 이해를 넓히고 이를 유지하는 노력이 필요하다. 또한, 동맹에만 의존하지 않도록 스스로 지킬 수 있는 능력을 키워야만 한다. 베트남과 아프간처럼 앉아서 당하지 않으려면 말이다.
