Ukraina is the exact replica of Korea, stuck between the giant powers of the Soviet Union
and the U.S.A. In the case of the Korean war, the U.S. did suffer major mortalities
but the Soviets didn't lose even a drop of blood.
In Ukraine, Russia suffered major mortalities but the U.S. has not so far.
The U.S. seemed to have spent a lot of money on the weapons but the "net loss" was zero.
The wisest thing here is not getting into the war personally and physically,
but using the weaker nations and letting them bleed for us.
From the experiences in the Korean, Vietnam, and Afghanistan wars, the U.S. has gotten smart.
The U.S. is not going to send American soldiers over there. It took three wars for the U.S. to learn.
The senile Biden, no matter what the Republicans say, is a smart ass, while Putin is a jackass.

Ukraine is fighting against Russian invasion with the aids of U.S. and EU.
Western allies has not been sending the ground troops to Ukraine but weapons and
other logistics that are needed for the war.
North Korea during Korean war had very similar situation. Stalin gave
Kim Ilsung permission to invade South Korea, but he did not give anything
significant for air and sea. He did not send Russian troops but a few hundreds
of advisors. O.K. signal was given a few months after Soviet succeeded in
nuclear testing. U.S. became no longer sole owner of nuclear weapons.
However Stalin did not want to engage in a direct fight with U.S. yet.
Kim pledged to Stalin that he would finish the war in no time because
there would be an insurgence as soon as Inminkun showed up in SK.
NK generals waited for the insurgence in 경무대 for 3 days, but nothing
happened. Regardless, Inminkun marched down to South running over
small number of U.S. troops on the way and stuck in the Busan perimeter in August,
1950.
In the mean time, U.S. air force and Navy cut off most of Inminkun supply
lines. Kim illsung who did not have effective air force and navy could not
do anything but watching helplessly.
Inminkun was fighting in Busan perimeter with empty stomach. The wounded
could not be treated properly because they did not have necessary medical supplies.
They could not replace the dead and wounded soldiers. The recruited farmers
nearby. They could not fight but also a lot of them ran away. The war had been
lost before Inchon landing.
The West has not given air planes and naval ships to Ukraine as Soviet
did not do to NK. It made Russia easy to bomb Ukrainian cities. Russia
will destroy roads and rails in Ukraine that are vital to supply weapons
, logistics and replacement troops.
U.S. is afraid of fighting Russian troops face to face in Ukraine as Soviet
was during Korean war. Consequently Kim illsung had to give up his
initial goal that is unification of Korea by his regime.
For now Ukraine is fighting for Danbas region and the area that connects
Danbas to Crimea. I think Ukraine has to give up the area that Russia wants
to occupy if U.S. and EU do not send air force and naval ships to Ukraine
as Kim gave up SK during Korean war.

*What I do not understand is the assumption that Russia may use nuclear weapons if
NATO including the U.S. sends ground troops to Ukraine. Isn't that true that owning
nuclear weapons should deter nuclear attacks? What's the use of nuclear weapons
that exist in the U.S.A., UK, and France?
If not the ground troops, why not send fighter jets and missiles to Ukraine?
If the current trickle-down aid by NATO to Ukraine continues, the suffering of
Ukrainians will never end.
