This report on the new research is indeed alarming to humans.
The research shows Bats carry some 400 coronaviruses and
have been living in close contact with humans in rural China.
They found serological evidence that bat's coronavirus has been directly infecting humans.
We just didn't know it until now and have failed to detect mini outbreaks in rural areas.
So the message is that not only bat's coronavirus does not need other animals such as pigs,
snakes or camels to infect humans because they can directly infect humans, but also
there are potentially hundreds of bat's coronaviruses that are candidates for pandemic flu
like the current one, we try to contain.
It is indeed very alarming news for the future.
