Yesterday, I was out there on the golf course. It was hot and humid, no breeze.
Drinking cold water with lots of ice was not enough. I was sweating like a hell.
I wished a little breeze would blow.
I kept on looking at trees whether there was any sign of breeze.
It was only wishful thought. Not a single leaf was moving, I noticed.
We finished our round in 3 and half an hour. It was sooner than usual.
Thank God, there were not many golfers out there.
Probably they knew it would be hot and humid.
I did not care much about the weather before I went there.
I just wanted to be out there.
We went to nearby Korean restaurant for our dinner.
I took a window seat to have a view of passing people and street.
I ordered 'Su-je-bi', which is my favorite dish during summer time
since my childhood in Jinju.
I was thinking about the song you introduced on this page, "Woman Outside of The Window".
Of course, you were there in my thought as the other friends we played together.
In a sense, I was not sitting at the restaurant.
I was sitting in the era of "Forgotten Se-wol", drifting.
Suddenly, "Forgotten Se-wol(Season)''(sung by Lee Yong) was in the air.
What a coincidence ! 'E-sim-jun-sim', it was.
"I think this was one of our repertories when we were 'Ddan-dda-ra' long time ago".
I said to my golf partners. And I asked to reapeat the song. They did.
I was a Man of The Past again, not sitting at the restaurant after playing golf under the hot
and sweltering heat. Yeah, I was a Man of The Past, quarter of a centry Younger !
On the way home,I dropped by Korean bookstore and video shop asking for CDs of two songs,
"Woman..." and "Fogotten Se-wol", but of no avail. I left with dismay.
I listened Morzat's Clarinet Concerto all the way home, thinking of you.
PS; Dr.Suh Ryang was the first prize winner at National Music Contest when he was in high school.
He played Morzart's Clarinet Concerto and I love to listen.
I carry CD in my car all the time to listen,
whenever our old days of "DDan-dda-ra" comes to my miind.
