The embedded music file is http://www.yrmc.kr/music/elderkim11.wma.
It is a WMA file, not an MP3 (mpeg) file.
Therefore, you should use "type=audio/x-ms-wma" instead of "type=audio/mpeg".
Also change to "width=300" instead of the short one, so that readers can control the volume as well.
Please add two "br" before the music player, so that it doesn't get stuck to the bottom of the table.

Thank you for your introductions of Korean War, Unforgettable and Unforgotten.
Nobody including past and present Korean government, even Korean Army insisted
Total War in Korea, so far. Our FM(field manuals) described only about how to defend
ourselves against North Korea, our arch-enemy since 1948 when ROK was established.

Our country never invaded other foreign country but she was invaded by neighboring
countries more than 900 times, as history tells us. Maybe, that's why we call ouselves
as Peace-loving people and country. Maybe.

Nobody wants War. That's for sure. Because we know by experience, by history, 
what the consequences are during and after wars in the past, by the numbers of death,
by the numbers of casualties, by the devastation.

What did we learn by past history?
We learned we should be prepared all the time, every minute of our life, for War
when situation calls for. Without that determination, without that willpower,
our country will be invaded, our people will be raped, we'll see ashes all over the country
again and again, adding up more numbers to more than 900 times of foreign invasions.

I would say, "No More Appeasement" in the name of "Sunshine Policy',
if it is a policy.

What did we get afterwards?
I want to know and I want to think about.

선배님들.

제가 6.25를 기억하는 Key word는 피난살이, 상이군인과 고아원입니다.

저는 1.4후퇴때 서울 보문동의 생가에서 대구 본가로 피난왔지요.
부친의 인민군 부역(6사단 의무관으로 6.28 서울대학병원 접수시 징용) 후 탈출하셨으나
그 시절이 어떤 시절이었습니까? 이 사실을 숨기시려고 구룡포에 피난, 그 후 여러 군데를 전전하며 살았습니다.

그후 부친이 공군군의관으로 입대 후 수년간 근무 후 예편하시고 병원을 열었을 때,
갈코리 의수나 목발을 짚은 상이군인들이 부친의 병원을 찾아 협박과 공갈을 치며 구걸하러 오곤 했습니다.
부친은 이들에게 나 역시 참전하였고 예비역 공군대위란 사실을 말씀하시고는 때가 되면 밥을 먹이고
약간의 용돈을 쥐어 보냈었지요.

우리집 앞에는 고아원이 있었습니다.
고아원 여원장 아들도 저의 친구, 원생도 친구가 몇 있었지요.
고아원 운영비의 일부는, 원장님이 미국에서 구호물자, 예를 들면 푸솜을 넣고 패치 워크로 만든 이불,
맛있는 건포도 등이 오면 저희 집에 들고 와서 돈으로 바꾸어 가곤 하였지요.
그러면 제가 건포도를 주머니 가득 넣고 고아원에 놀러가서 애들과 나누어 먹었습니다.
지금도 그 때 친했던 고아들 중, 형이라 따르던 애는 간암으로 세상을 떠나고
그 치과의사인 부인과 치과 공중보건의인 아들, 그리고 이화여대에서 인턴하는 딸 하고는 연락을 하고 있습니다.
다른 친구와도 일년에 한두번씩 만나서 밥을 먹지요.

물론 안 좋은 기억들도 많았지만 세월이 지났으나  이건 생각이 납니다.
