I liked the collection of the wise sayings.

I might add that I liked the campus of University of Missouri and
Columbia, Missouri, which is somewhat smaller city than Ann Arbor, Michigan.
My daughter had her undergrad. there, and currently one of my nieces
is about to receive her Ph D in journalism there.
I noticed your title and am aware of the status of their journalism school there
in the country, which has been considered to be the top.
Look forward to more of your enlightening input in this space.

늘상 新年劈頭에 그해의 Resolution을 만들어 다짐하게 되는데
지난 수년간은 '남(나를 제외한 모든)에게 좀더 너그러워(배려)
지자'라는것으로 못을 박고 좀처럼 다른것으로 바꿀수가 없다.

아마도 作心三日 이라기 보다는 노력은 해도 老益貪 이라서
인지 言行一致 하기가 어려워서 인것같다.

지난 연말 근처에 계신 다섯 내외분들을 초청해서 우리집에서
망년회를 했었는데 손님접대전 집소제 정리를 하다보니 그리고
끝난후 남아도는 음식물등들을 생각하니 주위에 쓸데없는것이
너무 넘쳐 waste되는것이 많아 교수께서 말씀하신 7번째 교훈이
실감이 가게 만듬니다.  규정

같은 얘기도 나이가 들어가니
다르게 가슴에 닿아 옵니다.

 장원호 교수님은 본인의 이웃 어른이십니다.
앞으로 더 기고를 주시기를 바랍니다.

"You have a duty to be nice to everybody."

Thinking about it, as a human being, I do really have the duty to do just that.
This is something I haven't realized consciously.

본인도 현재 70 MPH에 "Accelerator가 stuck" 된 상태인데 brake까지 고장난듯합니다.
나이가 먹은데다가, 한물가버린데다가, 편히 은퇴한 상태이니, 오히려 무서운게 없어져서
"Stubborn and Cantankerous Old Man"이 되버렸거나 되버리는것 같군요.
그래서인지 남에게 쓸데없는 hurting 하는 소리도 많이하는것 같구요.
새해에는 공자님의 말씀을 따라가 보려 노력해야겠읍니다.
장 교수 님, 좋은 말씀에 감사합니다.
