Dear Bernie;

Thinking of your father

I do not have appropriate words to express my condolence to you and your family for your father's passing away. As you may know, your father and I entered the SNU premed togather in1959 and graduated from the med school in 1965. We came to US for post graduate education in Pittsburg, PA and recieved internship as hard working interns in order to overcome our limited English skills. We however were enthusiastic and optimistic for our future. After residency training, we settled in different parts of the US but stayed in touch and our friendship and perhaps more properly brothership cotinued;

I am sure you remember some occasions when the old silly guys arguing and playing like "Chodung hakgyo" kids. I am so lucky to have so much indelible memories with Kwang Ho for a half century.
We studied togather with occasional uses of four letter words, having fun in skiing on snow and water, hiking mountains and sharing dreams as young medical doctors.

I do not need to tell you how your beloved father lived but I have unwavering opinion of my friend /brother Kwang Ho. Kwang Ho was a man of a few words but intelligent, passionate and of good deeds. I will miss him to the end of my life on this planet. Dr Steven Kim[Sung Soo] and I made a tribute to Kwang Ho by making a hikking to a beautiful tarn surround by several high mountain peaks in the Rockies named Loch Lomont, west of Denver.Bernie,
