Oh, Zhengzhou, poor Zhengzhou, my heart goes out to comfort you all through such disastrous flooding!!! Because of my best friend, colleague, and mentor, Prof. Zhong Gao Wang you Zhengzhou kindly accommodated, comforted, and further protected from such hardship through his rainy days till he was rehabilitated, Zhengzhou remains in a special place in my heart as well especially after I gave ‘Oration’ to celebrate his resurrection(?)- see the attached PPT! -. Indeed, Zhengzhou has been one of a few most memorable places in China I visited through these many years!
Yes, Zhong Gao survived not only through WWII/Nanjing massacre by Japanese soldiers but also from Red Guards through such an infamous cultural revolution. But he suffered most to sustain through unintentional, rather forced exile before he was allowed to be back to Beijing and without you Zhengzhou, it would have not been possible. So, you, Zhengzhou have a special place not only for himself but all his supporters.
Indeed, through the unique opportunity to deliver Zhong Gao Wang Oration in September 2010, I came, I saw, and I once again celebrated his achievement with all his disciples from four corners of China, thanking to Zhengzhou! With such warm and generous hospitality to stay for a week to enjoy every bit of this old cultural center of Chinese history as 중원/中原(Zhōngyuán), Zhengzhou had a special meaning to me all along. Now I see such awful flooding to Zhengzhou area to make me feel so distressed to watch, worrying about the impact of such devastating damage throughout. God bless Zhengzhou!!!

Dear BB: Let me leave some footnotes to make these Chinese English words more familiar to our readers.
Professor ZhongGao Wang must be 中高王敎授 즉 중고왕 교수
We, the Korean American expatriates, could feel more familiar with my footnotes I hope.

Thanks for chipping in to help proper interpretation of Chinese alphabets. Indeed, the way we were taught to pronounce Chinese alphabets is much different from how they pronounce for themselves so that it would need a double effort to our generation to clarify to become a menace!
Anyhow, Prof Wang Zhongguo is pronounced to 왕충호 in Korean and he is respected as the father of modern Chinese vascular surgery and also the world pioneer of an Asian version of Primary Budd Chiari Syndrome (BCS) caused by suprahepatic IVC occlusive disorder as the extension of hepatic vein outlet occlusion, I also had to learn from him.
Indeed, my first liver transplant candidate was a Japanese American woman who got the diagnosis of BCS from Kyoto University previously. But I had no idea about the Asian type of BCS different from the Caucasian type so that I had to learn everything from A to Z to tackle this additional vascular problem from him to repair the vena cava to hook up the liver properly. He is indeed a great surgeon China ever produced with a worldwide contribution.
Anyhow, due to such delicate (?) political issue involved to the farty, I can't tell much about how and why they did this celebration at Zhengzhou; he is now fully retired but elected to the academician.

I tried to reach three friends at Zhengzhou through the week but not a single one replied yet, though there was no evidence for the failure of delivery of my email to them making me wonder whether the party does not allow the reply as usual. What a docile people! So mad!!!!

I just received this shocking video from my Korean friend as below;
#중국재해 허난성 정저우시 대 폭우, 중국에서 1년 동안 내려야 할 비가 3일 만에 내리면 어떤 일이 벌어질까? 상상할 수 없는 일이 벌어진 지하철역 #KIMTV1 20210723 https://youtu.be/a578wGw0swo
The party blames it as the natural disaster that occurred once in a thousand-year though obviously the water level control of the 'broken/cracked' dam precipitated! So it certainly is a 'man-made' disaster no matter what they lie but it certainly sounds like 'once in a thousand-year cover up', indeed!!! What a docile innocent Chinese!!!! Bless them!!!!

Someone sent me this shocking video concerning possibly thousands of victims/drivers literally drowned, who were trapped in the 4.5 km long 6-lane underpass/지하차도 in the middle of rush hour, when the flood water from the nearby broken dam gushed in to fill up the tunnel within a few minutes; 생방송토요소통(41) 허난 정저우 지하철역과 지하차도 침수 대참사 원인은? 기록상 60년만이라며 왜 500년 1000년 5000년 대홍수로 선전? #KIMTV1 20210724. https://youtu.be/tT5fes9JSiw .
Though the Farty insists this flooding as a natural disaster, once in a 5,000-year Chinese history (?) so that they are NOT responsible for such disastrous outcome, who would believe, like Wuhan pandemic?
So distressed to watch with full of suspense and agony!!!!!

P.S. I sent out the email letters to eight friends throughout China through the week but NOT a single one replied yet(?). What does it mean?

Until I set foot at the Airport of Zhengzhou in the middle of the night, I had only a vague idea about Zhengzhou mainly involved in my best friend Zhongguo Wang’s exodus to get better protection by so many disciples nearby during his rainy days. So, I had such limited knowledge about Zhengzhou – holding about 12 million people as the capital city of Henan Province/ 하남성: 河南省 out of total 90 million in the central part of China, for example- till I got there and was embarrassed to learn Zhengzhou was THE center of 중원/中原 we all are so familiar through 삼국지 / 제갈량 which I didn’t know till I got there. Further, it was such a nice surprise to find it is located so close to 낙양/洛陽: Luòyáng, a symbol of Chinese civilization with full of historical sites. Indeed, one week was simply not enough as they mentioned, to visit these many places nearby I was quite interested so that I had to choose only a few places I couldn't miss like such famous 소림사 (Shaolin Temple) and the Longmen Grottoes containing thousands of Buddhist rock carvings dating back to the 5th century, etc before I left. But through the second visit years later I enjoyed Zhengzhou so much that I still remember much of it wishing to visit someday one more time.
