Inbee Park managed to hold on to her lead heading into the final round of the Evian Masters Presented by Société Générale to clinch her second career LPGA victory since the 2008 U.S. Women's Open. The 23-year-old fired rounds of 71-64-70-66 to finish 17-under par, two strokes ahead of Rolex Rankings No. 24 Karrie Webb and No. 3 Stacy Lewis. Park claims a $487,500 first-place check at her 83rd tournament since winning the U.S. Women's Open, taking her career earnings to $3,910,291. Also a member of the Japan Ladies Professional Golf Association, Park has won four times including the 2010 Nishijin Ladies Classic, 2010 Japan LPGA Tour Championship Ricoh Cup, 2011 Daikin Orchid Ladies and last month's Fundokin Ladies. In her five year tenure on the LPGA Tour, Park has notched 29 top-10 finishes and has five consecutive top-10s so far this season including a T9 at the Wegmans LPGA Championship, T2 at the Manulife Financial LPGA Classic, T4 at the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship Presented by P&G and a T9 at the U.S. Women's Open. |

A few years ago, I met Inbee Park at the Westridge Golf Course in Fullerton, California.
By then, she was already a famous LPGA player. My wife even got her signature on her visor.
Then, she was a pretty "little" girl, nothing like what I see today. (Excuse me !!)
Anyway, in golf, being big seems to be helping.
As you know, a lot of good players in golf clubs tend to be big (not necessarily by the height).
Seri Pak seems to be regaining her strength in LPGA lately as well,
and she has gotten bigger also. (You have to see her close, otherwise you may not notice it.)
Lately, I am seeing both of them more often in the leader-board.
Maybe I should eat more and often.
That may be the last solution in my deteriorating golf.
Please don't ruffle your feathers. You know, I am just kidding.
My sincere congratulations to Inbee Park and my best wishes for her.

Today's sport events are bit too much to even sport-maniac like me.
I have watched 2 events at same time using online(back and forth) and
kept on eyes on LPGA event as well.
Those wins after nail biting moments were all worthwhile.
Inbee Park has been playing more in Japan since win of US Open in 2008
and she had won quite a few tournaments over there.
I was quite impressed with her long accurate drives and accurate iron shots,
when I had a chance to watched her playing in person in Manulife Financial
at Waterloo, Ontario several weeks ago.
Eventhough she lost to Brittany Lang at playoff at that time, that triggered
to this win, I believe.
Let us giving her big hands for her accomplishment! KJ
